The Communications Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student or recent graduate to assist with organizing and managing digital media assets during the busy summer event season. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world digital asset management systems used by a large nonprofit communications team. As a Temporary Digital Asset Assistant, you will help organize photos, videos, and media from events and campaigns so they can be easily searched, accessed, and used by teams across The Salvation Army Eastern Territory. This position is ideal for students interested in communications, marketing, media production, digital libraries, or information.
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

This position is part-time up to 30 hours per week, is onsite and expected to begin at the end of May and end in mid July 2026.
• Write clear descriptions for photos, videos, and media assets
• Review and remove incorrect AI-generated tags
• Correct facial recognition tagging errors
• Enter detailed metadata into spreadsheets to improve asset searchability
• Help organize media from events and campaigns so teams can easily locate files
• Apply metadata tags to assets within project management platforms as requested
• Review older project folders to identify files that can be archived or deleted
• Locate and extract original master files from older projects
• Assist with overall media organization across communication platforms
• High school diploma and enrolled in college in a related field of study
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Proficiency in Mac OS and Microsoft Suite.
• Ability or willingness to learn tools like Adobe Analytics, Monday.com, and WordPress.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
