Overview

Position: Service Extension Unit Fund Accountant

Department: Finance

Availability of Position: Immediately

Schedule:  Full-time, 40 hours per week; M-F

Reporting Relationship: Divisional Assistant Controller

Salary and Grade: $69,488.92; 14

Responsibilities

Position Overview: Administers and provides financial management for Service Extension Fund.

 

Description of Position: Responsibilities include: Development of United Way budgets, develop and maintain the Revolving Fund (Imprest System), assist in development and monitoring of department budget, EFSP/CFC/SECA reporting, processing Power of Attorney documents, statistical/service records, independent invoice processing and receipting of income.

Qualifications

Requirements:     

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to form and maintain effective business relationships.
  • Proficient with Microsoft
  • Possess strong time management, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
  • Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
