Overview

The Salvation Army’s Athol Corps., is hiring a Music Instructor & Kids Club Aide and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 107 Ridge Ave., Athol, MA

Hours/week: 2-5 hours per week

Exemption: Non-exempt

Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*

 

Lead music instruction; assist as Kid’s Club Aid

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement curriculum and programming that effectively meet the developmental needs of both individuals and groups.
  2. Monitor and maintain the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality, including attention to minor repairs, health and safety standards, inventory management, and supply or equipment requests.
  3. Complete all assigned documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to encourage participation, engagement, and collaboration.
  5. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment at the end of each day.
  6. Ensure compliance with all State regulations related to health, education, nutrition, and professional development.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education Requirements:

High School or GED Required

 

Work Experience:

1+ years’ experience working with children

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and creative
  • Good communication skills
  • Skilled in a brass instrument or piano preferred
  • Skilled in theater arts or drama preferred
