Overview

The Salvation Army’s Athol Corps., is hiring a Kids Club Aide and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 107 Ridge Ave., Athol, MA

Hours/week: 2-5 hours per week

Exemption: Non-exempt

Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*

 

Help lead Kids Club; assist in the music & arts classes

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, develop, and implement curriculum and programming that effectively address both individual and group needs.
  2. Monitor and maintain the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning, including minor repairs, health and safety compliance, inventory control, and requests for supplies or equipment.
  3. Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner, including but not limited to attendance records, nutritional reports, lesson plans, fire drill logs, narratives, and progress notes.
  4. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to encourage engagement, participation, and collaboration in support of each child’s development.
  5. Assist with the serving of meals and ensure proper cleanup following dinner service.
  6. Ensure that all areas are cleaned, organized, and secured at the end of each day.
  7. Ensure compliance with all State regulations pertaining to health, education, nutrition, and professional development.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education Requirements:

High School or GED Required

 

Work Experience:

1+ years’ experience working with children

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and creative
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in teaching Sunday School preferred
  • Salvationist Preferred
