Overview

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Corrections program.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of the case managers under the direction of the Associate Director of Corrections.
  • Responsible for reviewing all paperwork generated by the case managers to ensure proper and timely completion
  • Conduct monthly case file reviews.
  • Coordinate the drug and alcohol testing for the program participants.
  • Ensure that case managers are meeting with and monitoring their clients as often as required.
  • Coordinate and maintain records for: client visitation, transitional control pass requests, special condition compliance, head counts, house duties and medication logs.
  • Ensure that all resident contracts and forms are kept current and revised when necessary.
  • Notify government personnel whenever situations warrant such notification and act as a liaison with referring agencies.
  • Assist in the completion of staff performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for staff schedules – daily, vacation and holiday.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings, may participate in or conduct agency meetings, program meetings, APA training, resident training and/or employee training classes.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of contacts with community resources who assist Harbor Light in the achievement of residents’ program goals.
  • Work on special projects and other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Corrections, Director of Corrections or the Executive Director of Harbor Light Complex.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
  • Experience in the community corrections field.
  • Supervisory experience is helpful.
  • Speaks positively about the programs, staff and The Salvation Army.
  • Verbalizes pro-social thinking using respectful language, tone of voice and body language.
  • Displays pro-social behavior.
  • Maintains appropriate boundaries with clients and employees.
