Overview

Title: Laundry Coordinator      

Location: Ladore

Reports To: House Keeping Supervisor

Availability: Immediate

Schedule:  PT, weekends and some nights

Salary and Grade: $16.50 per hour; 74

Position Overview: The function of the Laundry Coordinator (LC) is to handle all laundry needs of Ladore Complex, as well as assist with housekeeping, as needed.

Responsibilities

Description of Position:     

  • Sorting, pretreatment and soaking of linens, as needed
  • Washing and drying of linens, towels, etc. and folding of same
  • Wash and dry kitchen and housekeeping laundry
  • Mend or sew any items needing attention to preserve article
  • Always keep laundry equipment clean, i.e. filters, etc.
  • Report any problems with equipment to Supervisor
  • Assist Housekeeping as directed by Housekeeping Coordinator or Administration
  • Perform related duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:    

  • Valid PA Driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must be teachable.
  • Some experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple levels of operations.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
  • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 along with renewals every five years.
