The Salvation Army’s Hyannis is hiring a Seasonal Driver and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: Hyannis, MA area
Hours/week: 25 hours per week (Starting 11/24/25 – Ending 12/24/25)
Exemption: Non-exempt
Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

General driver during the holiday season
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for knowing the location of Kettle Stands
- Help with the placement of Kettle Stands prior to the first day of Kettles.
- Transport Kettle Workers to and from the Kettle Locations.
- Complete and Place Kettle Tracking Slips in each Kettle when dropping off the Kettle Worker or when meeting Volunteer(s) at the Kettle, and complete and place a Kettle Tracking Slip in each Kettle when picking it up. Use the time indicated on the Van/Vehicle clock. The slips provide Store Location, Worker/Volunteer, arrival and finish time at the Kettle.
- When instructed by Corps Officers, monitor and/or observe Kettle Workers at locations by conducting unannounced visits to sites.
- Pick-up/load donations of food, toys, or other items, and deliver/unload them as directed, and run other errands which would require driving during the Thanksgiving & Christmas Season.
- Pick up Kettle Stands at end of Season and Transport them back to the Corps. The goal is to accomplish this by the close of the Kettles on December 24th.
- Complete other tasks as requested by the Corps Officer related to the Christmas Kettle Effort and/or Christmas Assistance activities.
- Responsible for maintaining the vehicle in a clean state
- Any parking/speeding tickets are at the employee’s personal expense. Failure to notify the Corps Officer(s) of a parking ticket within one business day, and provide a copy of the ticket, and failure to reimburse The Salvation Army for the parking ticket within 5 business days, will result in termination of employment.
- Accidents in a Salvation Army vehicle resulting from negligence of the employee, and/or in which case the employee is cited for an infraction(s) during the course of the accident, will result in your termination.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- At least five (5) years of driving experience.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to work with a variety of people
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
