Overview

The Salvation Army’s Divisional Headquarters in Canton is hiring a Driver and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: Canton, MA area

Hours/week: Casual/On-Call

Exemption: Non-exempt

Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*

 

Drive, load and unload box truck for all MA Divisional Events per Divisional Calendar

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Pick up truck at rental location.
  • Load equipment/supplies into box truck
  • Drive box truck to event location.
  • Unload truck and assist with setup as needed.
  • Return truck to rental location.
  • Remain up to date with Keep SAfe Trainings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education Requirements:

High school or equivalent

 

Work Experience:

At least 1 year of experience as a professional driver (e.g., commercial, delivery, personal chauffeur, etc.)

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive rental box truck safely at any time
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Willingness to work irregular hours
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must understand and appreciate the Mission of The Salvation Army
