Overview

The Salvation Army’s Brockton Corps., is hiring a Kettle Coordinator and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: Brockton, MA

Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

                     40 hours per week

                     Seasonal, October 27 - December 26, 2025

 

To assist and coordinate the Christmas kettle campaign under the supervision of the Corps Officer

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a valid Massachusetts driver’s license
  • The ability to deal well with people, including the public and volunteers
  • Attentive to details
  • Flexibility and adaptability to circumstances and changes

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma

 

Assist with the Following:

  • Visit each kettle site to make all necessary arrangements with store managers.
  • Recruit, train and supervise all approved kettle workers.
  • Process requests for RKP partnerships through DHQ, and receive approval, prior to placing groups on the schedule.
  • Secure all Salvation Army kettle drive information and turn in at the end of the kettle campaign to the Field Rep.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and received by Divisional Headquarters in a timely manner for processing.
  • Receive approval from Divisional Headquarters for paid kettle workers prior to placing them on the schedule to work.
  • Report paid bell ringer hours to Payroll according to the payroll schedule.
  • Make sure that each kettle worker knows the practices and standards of The Salvation Army.
  • Set up daily schedules for kettle coverage.
  • Responsible for distribution and care of all kettle equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for securing kettle income at end of day/shift.
  • Assist with all clean up and finalization of the Christmas effort.
  • Report all accidents/incidents involving kettle workers at kettle locations immediately to supervisor.
  • As needed, bell ring at an open location as directed by the Corps Officer.
