Assist Maintenance staff with general upkeep of Camp Tecumseh property & grounds.
The duties listed below are the primary duties of this position but are not all the duties that may be required. Specifically, the primary duties are:
• Assist with general landscape maintenance of campgrounds as needed.
• Perform minor repairs on camp facilities or fixtures as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist with the preparation of Camp Tecumseh for summer camping season.
• Assist with larger maintenance projects as needed.
• Serve as part of the summer maintenance staff.
• Assist with year-round maintenance projects.
• Assist with rental group preparations.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience working with general maintenance machinery, such as lawn mowers, tractors, chainsaws, weed whips, wood splitters, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions and receive direction.
• Ability to obtain maintenance certifications as needed/required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs. unassisted.
• Must understand and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
