The Salvation Army’s Camp Wonderland, is hiring (2) Maintenance Technicians and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:
Location: Sharon, MA
Pay Range: $20 per hour
40 hours per week
Assist Property Manager in all aspects of maintenance and construction for the Camp Wonderland Complex and The Salvation Army owned residences in Sharon, MA.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
High school or equivalent
Work Experience:
Minimum 1-year experience in the maintenance or construction field
Other Qualifications:
Duties & Responsibilities:
a) Assist in performing maintenance of all camp equipment, buildings and grounds.
b) Assist in snow removal and sanding of roads, parking lots, and walkways for The Salvation Army owned properties in Sharon, MA.
c) Make recommendations to the Property Manager regarding maintenance needs, building renovations requirements, etc.
d) Participate in parts of the summer camp orientation relating to relational & safety aspects (i.e. KeepSafe training, Blood Born Pathogens, Active Shooter, etc.).
e) Perform property upkeep tasks such as painting, minor repairs, etc.
f) Be available for the general set-up of major furnishings for groups using facilities, etc.
g) Maintain all buildings in a safe, proper, usable condition, making repairs or replacements of unsafe items, as necessary.
h) Mowing of all grass areas, managing weed control, and fall/spring leaf & pine needle removal throughout all locations.
i) Ensure that the Camp Wonderland Complex adheres to all known Local, State and Federal sanitation, building codes, fire safety code, etc.
j) Assist Property Manager in maintaining all motorized vehicles, equipment and tools in proper and safe working conditions.
k) Implement procedures for ground and building security to minimize theft, vandalism and natural cause losses.
l) Inform the Property Manager of any observed long-range maintenance needs.
m) Required to work overtime (with prior approval) during the summer and when there are weather related issues to attend to (snow plowing, etc.).
n) Remain up to date with all Keep SAfe Training
o) Adhere to guidelines for staff responsibilities as found in The Salvation Army’s Employee Manual.
p) Perform other duties within the scope of the position as directed
