Overview

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.

 

Responsibilities

  1.     Ongoing video calls, site visits and training as needed and directed by Marketing and Development Director.
  2.     Develop and maintain training manuals and other materials related to the operation of DSS and other tools utilized for efficient logistics.
  3. Provide support to the field in the areas of training, usage and troubleshooting, with specific emphasis on adherence to all Salvation Army and ARC Command policies and best practices.
  4. Provide oversight and analysis, on a regular basis, of DSS reports and communicate findings to the Marketing and Development Director, as well as to appropriate ARC Command staff and ARC personnel in the field.
  5. Coordinate with the dispatchers, Marketing and Development Director, Information Technology department and outside vendors to ensure the DSS system is functioning properly.
  6. Maintain fleet records across all locations, including inventory, usage and maintenance using DSS and other software to record and analyze activity and compliance. In conjunction with operational leads in the field, ensure observance of DOT, OSHA and other regulatory and safety standards by communicating and encouraging regular vehicle maintenance and safe operation.

 

Qualifications

 

  1. 3-5 years of experience in logistics or related field
  2. Basic computer knowledge.
  3. Good communication skills. 
  4. Willingness to travel.
