Overview

Position: Older Adult Program Assistant                                                           

Location: Ladore

Availability of Position: May 26, 2025

Schedule: Part Time +; Mostly Tuesday-Thursday; schedule may vary from 8am-8pm                                   

Salary/Grade: $10.00-$11.00 per hr/ 70, Non-exempt

Responsibilities

Position Overview: Assist with planning, preparing and the implementation of  Senior Program activities

 

Description of Position:                 

  • Assist with program set ups as needed.
  • Assist with implementation of Ladore Senior Program.
  • Lead small group activities as needed.
  • Lead full group activities i.e. MC Talent Show as needed.
  • Cover for the Program Coordinator in their absence.
  • Conduct property tours
  • Perform related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
  • Experience working with older adults and older adult programming.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 35 pounds.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter.
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
