Seeking a SEASONAL Full Time Day Camp Director on our Lockport Corps Team

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Develop and oversee Day Camp Program.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program Development: Design and implement camp programs, including daily devotions and activities, special events, and educational sessions.
• Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage camp staff, including counselors and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings.
• Camper Management: Oversee camper registration, check-in/check-out processes, and ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce camp policies, safety regulations, and emergency procedures. Maintain health and safety standards. This will include properly serving the meals provided through the Summer Food Service Program.
• Budget Management: Manage the camp budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment, and tracking expenses.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and campers. Address any issues or concerns promptly.
• Administrative Duties: Keep accurate records of camper attendance, staff training, and programming activities. Prepare reports as needed.
• Social media: Post pictures on Facebook and Instagram to provide a visual experience for funders and the public.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• 2 university education or 2 years’ experience working with children.
• Able to work well with young children, in supervision and participation in physical activities, games, crafts, and educational opportunities.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task.
• Excellent communications skills both oral and written.
• Microsoft office skills
• Supervisory experience.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certificate a plus
