Overview

Job Type: Seasonal/Temporary

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday

Experience: Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: First Aid Certification (Preferred)

                                          CPR Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate: Lexington, KY 40508: Relocate before starting work                                                 

Work Location: In person- 736 West Main Street Lexington, Ky 40508

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Lead daily activities as directed by the supervisor
  • Inform supervisor of necessary purchases such as supplies, snacks, etc.
  • Address all disciplinary action in accordance with the Day Camp Manual. Complete all necessary forms and inform supervisor immediately.
  • Oversee clean up and set up of activity areas
  • Receive and dismiss children daily in the designated area.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned
  • Set a good example for the children, parents, staff, and volunteers
  • Represent The Salvation Army’s ministry and social mission in the Day Camp program
  • Maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to the work of the department
  • Perform all duties in a manner that reflects the core value of The Salvation Army and the Boys & Girls Club of the Bluegrass in treating all people with dignity and respect.
  • Provide other services as required for the efficient functioning of The Salvation Army
