Overview

Location: CONNRI Lodge (Ashford, CT)

Status: Non-exempt, On-call

 

Scope & Purpose of Position: To support various programs/events at Camp CONNRI and the CONNRI Lodge.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that trash throughout the area is being maintained.
  • Perform any reasonable task that is asked of the event’s Director.
  • Reorganize chairs after each meeting, as needed.
  • Set up chairs, tables, and any other needed equipment.
  • Ensure proper portion size in the delivery of all meals.
  • Ensure that all meals are prepared according to the approved menus.
  • Ensure that the kitchen area is kept clean and sanitary.
  • Maintain efficient preparation and delivery of all meals.
  • Maintain inventory and meal preparation records.
  • Set up and clean before and after each meal /event: sweep floors, pick up trash, arrange chairs neatly, etc.
  • Make sure furniture, computers, etc., are arranged neatly.
  • Stock needed supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc.).
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, and empty trash in housing units,

Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to provide transportation to and from the work site.
  • Will respect and promote the interest of The Salvation Army. The individual is not required to embrace the tenets of faith, but they are required to promote and respect the mission of The Salvation Army.
