Location: Meriden Corps (Meriden, CT)

Rate of Pay: $16.00 per hour

Scope & Purpose of Position: Will provide driving support for all of the holiday programs, which includes Angel Tree, Holiday Store, Adopt-a-Family, Kettle Campaign, etc.

• Dress neatly and interact with the public in a professional manner.
• Communicate all barriers and issues directly to the supervisor(s).
• Complete a timecard each day.
• Complete the required 12-passenger van training and maintain all appropriate knowledge to drive and maintain.
• Practice safe driving habits and follow all state and national safety regulations and standards.
• Drive as requested during the holiday season and run general kettle season errands.
• Load and unload holiday items such as food, clothing, and toys as requested.
• Assist with pick-ups and drop-offs of seasonal kettle employees and volunteers.
• Distribute and collect kettle stands and signs to locations as requested.
• Keep the interior of the vehicle clean of debris and clutter.

• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, can drive a 12-passenger van, and pass the required driving test.
• Ability to drive in inclement weather, such as light snow.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routines, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and be both reliable and punctual.
• Ability to follow safe work practices.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions while communicating closely with supervisors.
• Ability to perform duties independently with minimal need of direct supervision.
• Strong customer service and time management skills.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Must complete KeepSAfe and other training requirements upon hire.
