- An understanding of and passion for the mission of The Salvation Army.
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, human services, or related field required.
- Previous supervisory and case management experience required.
- Ability to collaborate on complex social issues within families and communities.
- Experience and strong interest in community outreach, organization, and community capacity development.
- Experience with afterschool programs, feeding programs, emergency disaster services, and serving the homeless is a plus.
- Grant writing experience is highly preferred.
- Contract and program fiscal management experience preferred.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to organize.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office required; experience with database software preferred.
- Willingness to lead employees with sleeves rolled up and a positive can-do attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a pleasant demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, establish and adhere to deadlines, and effectively manage and solve crises for positive outcomes.
- Must be interested and able to work with people and clients of diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds in a sensitive and culturally appropriate manner.
- Valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s license is required. Must obtain and maintain driving privileges per The Salvation Army insurance company.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- Must complete the KeepSAfe training and other required trainings upon hire.
- Will understand, respect, and promote the interest of The Salvation Army. The individual is not required to embrace the tenets of faith, but he/she is required to promote and respect the mission of The Salvation Army.
