Overview

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 35 hours/week, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

Job Focus:  This position is responsible for meeting people who enter the building, as well as those who contact us by email or telephone. This person will provide referrals to individuals that we are unable to serve. This position serves as the first point of contact with the community that we serve on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous office work experience, preferred.  Must be organized.
  • Ability to work with all individuals of all ages and demographics.
  • Professional and courteous, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Emotional and spiritual maturity.
  • Support and uphold The Salvation Army’s Mission Statement and Doctrines.
  • Must attend The Salvation Army as a church.
  • Fluent in Haitian or Creole, preferred
  • Music skills preferred, but not a must
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.  Ability to drive a 12-passenger van.
