Overview

The Pearl Essence Anti-Trafficking Case Manager will provide client-centered, trauma-informed, clinical case management to survivors of commercial sexual and labor exploitation and those with behavioral health disorders throughout the Greater New York Division.

Responsibilities

  • Case Manager will conduct initial screening, intake, and assessment of clients in need of case management services
  • The lead case manager will provide comprehensive, wrap around case management services for survivors experiencing behavioral health needs and coordinate services such as: therapy, withdrawal management, rehabilitation, housing, identification, financial assistance, and ongoing monitoring with clients in the community.
  • The population to be served are individuals who have been victimized by commercial sexual exploitation, labor trafficking, sex trafficking and severe forms of trauma.
  • Case Manager will additionally be responsible for some administrative tasks to support daily and ongoing operations of the Pearl Essence program.
  • Organize, facilitate, and participate in Outreach Debriefs
  • Facilitate communications between law enforcement partners and emergency housing clients
  • Compile data and complete monthly statistics
  • Participate in task force meetings around the Greater New York Division as assigned
  • Collaborate and secure resources for survivors with external partners and service providers
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, confidentiality, and unconditional positive regard
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and complete duties in timely manner
  • Ability to work flexible hours during outreach weeks and be available for crisis situations 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Social Work minimum
  • 2 years case management experience required
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Previous experience and skills in administrative work
  • Professional-level communication skills
  • Previous experience with team leadership and working with volunteers
  • Previous experience with training volunteers on program requirements
  • Previous experience with anti-human trafficking work preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
