REPORTS TO:              Service Unit Director

SUPERVISES:               Service Unit Volunteers & other staff as directed by SU Director                 

STATUS:                          Exempt              

SCHEDULE:                  Full-Time.  Position requires significant scheduling flexibility to attend evening meetings and meetings convened at a distance from home.

FUNCTION:                  To coordinate the efforts of employees and volunteers who are working on behalf of The Salvation Army in fundraising and providing assistance.  This job description is not to be interpreted as all inclusive.  It is intended to identify the essential functions and requirements of

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must establish and maintain dedicated office at home or assigned area.
• Must have a respect, understanding, and appreciation for the mission of The Salvation Army.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of business management, social welfare program development, fund raising, public relations, and personnel supervision.
• Have the ability to recruit, train, motivate, instruct, and evaluate a volunteer work staff.
• Combination of work experience and post-secondary education is preferred.
• Must be willing and able to travel frequently within Ohio and Kentucky.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and the ability to safely, operate a motor vehicle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
