SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Accounts Payable Clerk II is responsible for performing bookkeeping duties in the maintenance and operation of account processing for all payable transactions for the agency on a timely basis. Work involves processing, distribution and maintenance of invoices. The Accounts Payable Clerk II is expected to work with a problem-solving oriented team and develop a professional relationship within the finance department, closely working with the senior accountant staff.

  • Process and record all invoices for payment
  • Mail checks to vendors
  • File and maintain A/P vouchers and related materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform Smart Data reconciliations (as assigned)

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
  • More than one year and up to two years AP experience
  • Minimum supervision required; work follows standard procedures
