Position Details:  We are adding to our NY State of Health Navigator Program due to expansion and looking to hire a FT Navigator.  This position is Full-Time, 35 hours per week, Non-Exempt, $20.60/hour with access to our comprehensive benefit offerings after the completion of 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

The role of a Navigator is to assist individuals in completing the enrollment process for affordable Health Insurance through the NY State of Health. You will meet with families and individuals in person, conduct an interview/assessment and help them to enroll in the most affordable Health Insurance for their personal needs. This position requires you to travel within the community and meet with your clients.

  • Navigate the NY State of Health to help enroll families and individuals in health insurance.
  • Attend community events, such as Job Fairs, Community Resource Fairs, Health & Wellness Fairs to educate perspective enrollees about The NY State of Health
  • Schedule upcoming appointments

To qualify for this career opportunity, an applicant should possess the following in order to be considered:

  • 1-2 years of office experience by work or internship.
  • Strong Computer Skills to include Excel, MS Word & Outlook
  • Administrative skills
  • A valid NYS Driver License
  • Access to Private Transportation, This position can require the employee to drive to various locations throughout their scheduled work day.
  • Some flexibility for evening/weekend events
  • Ability to multi-task by completing more than one task at a time
  • Bachelors Degree, preferred
  • Bilingual, verbal and written a plus!
