Salary/Grade: $15.71 per hour;74, Non-Exempt

All family configurations, including families with teen-aged children, and single men with children are accepted.

Description of Position: The Custodian is responsible for the maintaining of public areas, offices, bathrooms, and outside areas of a large family shelter in a clean and sanitary manner. The Custodian works with the Maintenance Supervisor to correct any building issues and will be responsible for contacting outside agencies when work needs to be completed.

Requirements:  High School Diploma or GED, prior residential or customer service work experience, must be able to read, write and speak well in English, must have computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Programs and be proficient in and the ability to utilize the internet.  Must have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Sanctuary Model.
