Overview

As directed, the housekeepers will clean and prepare all areas of the Complex so that they can be used safely and comfortably by all guests visiting the complex. Areas include the Lodge, Leadership Apartments and residences, BelMon Village, Hilltop and Village camp areas. Assist in the Food Services as needed in a helpful and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all cleaning assignments as given by the supervisor in a timely and orderly fashion, following instructions and using the correct materials.
  • Report any facility problems to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Complete any spreadsheets as asked to show work done.
  • Clean cabins, lodge rooms, residences and general areas as instructed based on weekly schedule and complex use, moving, preparing and cleaning as necessary.
  • In Food Services, follows guidelines for that area and fulfills tasks as asked, accepting any duties assigned.
  • Perform complex-wide laundry services as assigned by the schedule, using Complex Laundry at maintenance building and Lodge laundry.
  • Wear appropriate uniform as assigned.
  • Use correct supplies and equipment for the right surfaces, becoming knowledgeable in this area.
  • Conduct all work and relationships at work in a professional manner, adhering to The Salvation Army Employee Manual.
  • Scheduled to work from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM five days per week. The typical work week will be Mon-Fri, however this schedule may be altered to accommodate special weekend events. In addition, the mechanical worker will also be “on-call” for emergencies or special needs.
  • Be willing and available to work special events as dictated by the Complex calendar
  • Perform all other duties as outlined by Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in housekeeping or facility management.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Familiar with guidelines associated with American Camping Association and Health and Safety Codes.
