TITLE: Anti-Human Trafficking Part-Time Crisis Response Worker
DEPARTMENT: Social Ministries, Anti-Human Trafficking
REPORTS TO: Anti-Human Trafficking Crisis and Intake Specialist
SUPERVISES: None.
STATUS: Non-Exempt. On-Call.
SCHEDULE: Part-time. Must be available to be on-call for human trafficking emergencies as scheduled.
FUNCTION: This position is responsible for responding to hotline and crisis response requests as a part of a 24 hour emergency on call schedule.

DUTIES:
•Support provision of emergency response and short-term comprehensive care for domestic and LPR victimsof sex and labor trafficking identified in by law enforcement, as a part of the court programming withjuvenile and adult court justice systems, through social service or health providers, and other identifiedvictims.
oServing as an initial point of contact and emergency responder for victim services at The SalvationArmy.
oField hotline calls and implement a response.
oProviding rotating 24 hour emergency response and comprehensive initial case management/intake.
oAssessment immediate needs and conduct intakes.
oAssist with the coordination with the Child Advocacy Center, law enforcement, Child Welfare,Juvenile Court, Off the Streets, Municipal Court, Probation Services and other systems andorganizations to support the victim in leaving the trafficking situation and receiving needed services.
oUtilization of Salvation Army and other resources to ensure that the victim’s immediate needs aremet, including safe temporary housing, clothing, food, medical care and mental health care.
oDevelopment of a safety plan and a service plan in coordination with the victim.
oLimited-time provision of shelter-based/home-based case management to help the client achieve thegoals outlined in the service plan. Although plans will vary based on individual needs, these activitiesmay include but are not limited to permanent housing, legal assistance, working with lawenforcement, employment, counseling, linkage to benefits.
oMaintenance of accurate and timely case notes.
oTimely completion of reports.
•Participate in other service programming, as needed.

• Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s Degree in social service field. Some coursework in social work or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with victims of human trafficking is preferred. Experience working with victims of other traumatic crimes, such as domestic violence or sexual assault is required.
• Successfully obtain and maintain driving privileges per The Salvation Army insurance standards, including maintaining access to a personal vehicle and insurance coverage for transportation needs related to this position. Mileage reimbursement will be utilized where appropriate.
• Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
