To Perform janitorial and maintenance tasks needed at the property owned by The Salvation Army. To clean and other tasks to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities.
Responsibilities
Reports to The Salvation Army Officer/s verbally, in writing, email, phone or text.
Be flexible to change work schedules and times to accommodate activities and programs.
Observes all NY regulations, and The Salvation Army policies.
Clean all areas of the interior and exterior of building.
Be prepared to set up and break down meeting rooms as required.
Keep cleaning equipment clean.
Secure building when not in use. Check for unlocked doors and windows.
Vacuum all carpeted areas weekly and spot clean as needed.
Clean and maintain all glass windows and doors, interior and exterior.
Clean and maintain wood, linoleum and tiled floor surfaces.
Empty all trash in dumpsters, wash and sanitize all garbage cans as necessary.
Keep all areas of the bathrooms cleaned, sanitized and replenished.
Mop, strip, polish and buff all surfaces of gym floor.
Assist with foodbank, load and unload bus as required by Emergency Provider.
Replace light bulbs on the corps side as necessary.
Replace materials (Trash bags, toilet paper, sanitizer, etc.) as necessary.
The Salvation Army has the right to modify, delete or add to this job description, as needed.
Other duties as directed by Corps Officer or assigned designee.
