Overview

Position: Facilities Supervisor
Location/Dept.: Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, Philadelphia PA
Availability: Immediate
Schedule: Full Time up to 40 (Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as may be required in performance of duties or requested
Reporting Relationship: Building Ministry Director
Salary Grade: $45,000-$57,000 11 Status: Exempt Communication Code: 3

Responsibilities

 Assure quality completion of a year-round preventative maintenance plan for building systems, as appropriate, with the direction of the Operations Director (OD). Evaluate condition of facility, identifying problems and making appropriate repairs or clean up when possible; determine appropriate action plan to resolve issues, advising OD of work that needs to be completed by outside contractor. Ensure adherence with that all OSHA, Federal, State, Local City regulations. Assist with hazardous waste storage and/removal (HAZMAT). Oversee maintenance of and/or outside contractor work related to electrical, HVAC, pumps, blowers, fans, irrigation, and pool systems. Monitor/inspect the entire campus (inside and outside), daily, with immediate corrections made to enhance the look and function of the campus, as needed. Daily monitor all utilities and systems for the entire center. Be part of the first response team; responding to fire, security, and life safety systems. Consistently maintain a high level of efficiency in the operation of the facilities of the RJKCCC. Maintain accurate record keeping of updated warranty files, maintenance service contracts, inspections, and other required record keeping.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent(required); Associate or Bachelor of Science in Facilities preferred. Three years of job-related supervisory experience in professional cleaning. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English. The successful candidate will possess working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, pumps, blowers, fans, electrical systems, plumbing systems, building codes, hand & power tools, cleaning supplies/equipment and tools of the trade. Must pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Driver’s Test, possess a valid drivers license with less than two (moving or accident) violations over the past two years. Must possess good interpersonal relationship skills and be willing to extend superior customer service. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and ability to move about the Kroc Center freely. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
