FUNCTION:                To assist the Corps Officers in all aspects of the Mission and Ministry of the Corps Community Center

STATUS:                     Exempt 

SCHEDULE:                Full-time. Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in order to fulfill duties as outlined below.

FUNCTION: 

This is a ministry-centered (religious) role. The Ministry Assistant will serve in a critical support role to the Corps Officers. They will be intimately and integrally involved in the ministry of the Corps, including teaching, leading and preaching the Gospel Message. The Ministry Assistant will be involved in Corps Administration, Youth & Women’s Ministries, Social Ministries, Sports Ministries and Community Relations.

Their character and attitude must always promote the principles in keeping with the Mission of The Salvation Army.  This individual must be comfortable within an ethnically diverse community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Meaningful experience and fluent in Spanish
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must uphold Biblical standards in personal and professional life.
• A willingness to become a member or a local leader of the Corps.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and a willingness to drive a 12-passenger van.
• Adhere to policies and procedures of The Salvation Army.
• Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs and social media platforms is required
