Overview

Position: Kroc Teen Leadership Development/Loft Coordinator
Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PA
Availability: Immediate
Schedule: FT (up to 40 hours per week)
Reporting Relationship: After School Programs and Day Camp Manager
Grade: 75              Salary: $17.09

Responsibilities

The Kroc Teen Leadership Development/Loft Coordinator (KTLDLC) will spearhead and provide hands-on implementation of leadership skill development programs for teens in the general population of the RJKCCC. The KTLDLC will coordinate entrepreneur programs, work with area businessmen and women to provide mentors to the program participants involved in the program, provide opportunities for community service, as well as mission related experiences, provide Spiritual guidance, and emotional/intellectual support to teens. The KTLDLC will oversee the mentoring intensive program. The KTLDLC will cross-collaborate efforts with the entire Kroc team to ensure full program potential in the leadership skill development of its participants. The KTLDLC will develop strong relationships with community and ministry partners.

Qualifications

At least two years of college in related field, as well as at least two years serving as a mentor.

Must support the Mission and work of The Salvation Army. Must have at least 1 year of progressive experience working with youth. Must be able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment, the ability to multi-task will be helpful. Strong relational skills and character. Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends. Must be a team player. Must be able to work with ethnic and socio-economic populations.

Must possess the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Must demonstrate mature Christian character with a passion for mission and youth. Must maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving. Computer proficient. Excellent communication skills. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
