Title: Food Service Coordinator

Salary and Grade: $14.00 per hour; 74 Non-Exempt
Schedule: Part time up to 19 hours per week

Description of Position:
Promotes observance of the Mission, Values and Doctrines of The Salvation Army. Responsible for keeping the Corps’ Commanding Officers updated and aware of observed trends, as well as all matters of significance related to the total welfare of the food programs at the Corps. Prepares and distributes timely monthly statistics for Food Pantry in accordance with standards. Places monthly food orders with the Food Bank. Assists in stocking shelves for the Food Pantry as may be needed. Coordinates annual food drive by the High School. Recruits volunteers and for social services and monitors them at all time. Ensures that each volunteer has completed all forms and processes needed for compliance with PA Act 153 as well as all Salvation Army policies governing volunteers. Assist in coordinating annual volunteer Thank You Luncheon. Follows up and responds to correspondence pertaining to food services. The Salvation Army has the right to add to, delete, changes or modify the job duties, requiring the employee to carry out other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must have at least one years of experience in working with computer skills. Responsible, respectful, positive role model and be able to follow instructions. Able to safely keep confidential information, data and knowledge. Must be well organized and sensitive to individual cases. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Must have a valid driver’s license. Meets the Child Protective Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. As a Mandatory Reporter, within 30 days of hire, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse that meets the training standard of PA Act 153 and must complete the training every five years.. Must have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army.
