Overview

Under the direction of the Administrator and Program Worker, this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties for the building and related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuuming, Sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs. 
  • Clean and sanitize women and men bathrooms.
  • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in the dining room.
  • Restock bathroom supplies as needed.
  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
  • Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture
  • Cleaning glass doors
  • Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
  • Report to the Administrator when there are insufficient cleaning supplies.
  •  General maintenance of grounds/ main entrance lobby area
  •  Maintain cleanliness of the reception area and the donation area
  •  Assist with loading donations to SA Pickup Trucks 
  •  Maintain cleanliness of the sidewalks of our building
  •  Keep areas around the building, specifically, notify and remove unsafe material and objects, from sidewalks including garbage, debris, ice and snow.
  •  Help with the unloading and storing deliveries to be used in our different programs.
  •  Other routine maintenance duties as assigned by the Corps Office

Qualifications

  • Good character and willingness to work.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.
  • Be flexible with working hours to accommodate special events or assigned tasks.
  • Able to utilize the given cleaning supplies (including broom, mop, vacuum) and cleaning solutions (including bleach, detergent, degreasers)
  • Able to communicate in Chinese.
  • Able to work Monday-Friday 9AM – 1PM
