Position Overview:

The position of Logistics Coordinator is a Supervisor position.  They are responsible for the coordination of transportation services for the Children at our Foster Care Program, Family Place Visitation Center.  They will also facilitate visitation across the entire visitation services collaborative. Logistics Coordinators will maintain visitation room assignment schedules for the families we served.  They Supervise a team of 5 Transporters as they transport children in a safe manner, monitor their time and arrange for other job duties as necessary.

• Oversee the daily operations of the Transportation Team. 
• Create staff schedules and approve time sheets
• Participate in and maintain credentialing in CPR
• Conduct staff meetings and supervision session on a regular basis. 
• Ensure that Transporters are following safety guidelines, policies, and procedures, and are assigned for driving and other building maintenance duties as necessary. 
• Complete performance evaluations for Transporters according to agency time-lines. 
• Follow agency leadership and supervisory practices.
• Ensure that the vehicles are properly and routinely maintained and prepared for client and staff use. 
• Oversee building, grounds, and vehicle maintenance and submit necessary requests, work orders, and purchase orders as necessary.
• Participate in orientation trainings as arranged by Onondaga County Department of Social Services for newly trained foster parents to introduce visitation services to this population.
• Participate in regular supervision sessions with Family Place Director. 
• Share in staff meetings and training for staff as needed. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with previous experience working with families, or high school diploma with extensive experience.
• Ability to work as a team member and manage team operations and the ability to provide culturally competent practice.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within the community as it relates to transporting from multiple facilities, homes, agencies, schools, etc.
• Must have valid NYS Driver’s License and regular access to private transportation.
• Position requires successful completion of Background Screening & Drug Screen.
