FFT Therapist:  Full-Time, Non-Exempt positions with access to our comprehensive Benefit Offerings after 90 days of employment.

 

Responsibilities

Clinical Family Therapist is responsible for using the Functional Family Therapy model to provide family therapy to families within Onondaga County. 

FFT is an evidence-based model for community-based settings focused on working with youth ages 11-18 and their families. 

The FFT model is framework of systemic interventions and strategies that provides a strength-based focus for short-term behavioral health treatment.  

FFT encourages the use of experience, cultural competence, and behavioral health knowledge to engage with diverse populations. 

  • Training in a highly accredited evidence-based model at no additional cost
  • Flexible hours weekday hours with no weekends or on-call responsibilities
  • Opportunity to gain licensure hours for clinical professions including: Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, and Clinical Social Work.
  • Opportunity for leadership development and clinical training/education in areas of trauma-informed practice with a diverse population.
  • Work collaboratively with youth and families to create behavioral change plans and introduce skill-based interventions
  • Maintain liaison activities with collaborative partners including school support staff and clinicians, mental health counselors, and other service providers.
  • Work with a knowledgeable team of clinical and non-clinical staff with many years of experience in non-profit, human services. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred in one of the following areas of study:
    • Social Work (MSW)
    • Marriage & Family Therapy
    • Mental Health Counseling
    • Related Clinical Field
  • Bachelor's Degree:
    • Human Service Field
    • Two(2) years of experience

Please Note:  We will consider candidates near completion of their Master's Degree Program

 

Requirements:

  • NYS Driver License
  • Access to private transportation in order to provide counseling & outreach services
